About the store
Regarding my educational experience, I attended the University of Akron (Honors College) from 2009 until 2014, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. Throughout my higher education experience, I received extensive training in the visual arts, graphic arts, and education as a whole. I completed my student teaching experience within the Canton Local Schools district. Currently, I am in my 7th year as a middle school teacher for Alliance City Schools. I am also the acting Visual Arts Department Head for the district, teach private art lessons, and provide art-based classes for our after-school programs, including Art Club once a week. Outside of school, I am a free-lance graphic designer.

Color Theory Worksheet

An introductory Color Wheel/Color Theory worksheet. I use this with my 6th graders while introducing color. Once we are finished going over the material, students complete this worksheet using colored pencils. (I only give them primaries and secondaries so they have to mix their tertiaries.) Students then tape them into their sketch books and can use them as a review tool if needed!

Teaching style

My teaching style is very student-centered, but also very academic. I provide my students with hands-on, fun, and engaging learning experiences while also connecting the content to real-life, relevant applications. Students learn the importance of the elements of art and principles of design, but are having too much fun to even realize they are learning. :)
