About the store
Where learning grows through connection. Wildflower Roots is more than educational resources โ€” itโ€™s a return to slower, more intentional learning. In a world that often asks children to move faster than theyโ€™re ready, this space exists to honor childhood as it is meant to be: curious, rhythmic, grounded, and deeply relational. Each resource is created from lived experience in classrooms and homes, guided by Montessori-inspired learning, natureโ€™s seasons, and holistic rhythms that support both children and caregivers. This is learning without pressure. Growth without force. And education that unfolds the way wildflowers do โ€” in their own time.

Experience

Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in observation, patience, and trust in the childโ€™s natural development. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, seen, and unhurried. Rather than rushing outcomes or following rigid lesson plans, I focus on child-led exploration, gentle guidance, and predictable rhythms that support emotional regulation and curiosity. My approach is inspired by Montessori principles, nature-based learning, and real-life rhythms โ€” meeting children where they are and offering invitations to learn rather than demands. I value simplicity, sensory experiences, and meaningful repetition, allowing children to build confidence through independence and play. Above all, I aim to guide with calm presence, honoring each childโ€™s pace while creating an environment where learning feels natural and joyful.

Awards & shining teacher moments

While my work has not been centered on formal awards, my most meaningful โ€œshining momentsโ€ have come through connection and trust. Iโ€™ve been told: โ€œYou have such a Montessori way of teaching.โ€ โ€œYou explain things in a way that makes them feel simple and doable.โ€ โ€œThe children are calmer when youโ€™re with them.โ€ Some of my proudest moments include: Supporting toddlers through big emotional transitions with patience and consistency Watching children gain confidence through independence and routine Creating calm, engaging days without overstimulation or pressure Helping families feel more confident in supporting their childโ€™s development at home These moments โ€” quiet, steady, and deeply human โ€” are the heart of why I do this work.

My own education history

My background blends formal education, hands-on experience, and holistic wellness training โ€” all centered on supporting children and families as whole beings. Formal Education: University of Wisconsinโ€“Platteville Bachelorโ€™s studies in Elementary Education with an Emphasis in Early Childhood Maharishi International University Integrative Health & Wellness Degree Focus: Ayurveda Consultant training, holistic lifestyle education, and rhythm-based wellness Professional Training & Frameworks: Pyramid Model (social-emotional development and behavior support) Creative Curriculum Core Standards & developmentally appropriate practice This layered education informs the way I design resources โ€” honoring both developmental foundations and the natural rhythms that support calm, connected learning.

Additional biographical information

My work with children has unfolded across many settings โ€” licensed childcare centers, 4K programs, and private family homes โ€” supporting children from infancy through early elementary years. Iโ€™ve worked with: Infants and toddlers building trust, regulation, and sensory awareness Preschool and 4K children developing independence, language, and social-emotional skills School-age children navigating curiosity, creativity, and responsibility Alongside classroom teaching, I spent several years nannying with private families, caring for siblings of varying ages and supporting learning within the flow of everyday family life. These experiences deeply shaped my understanding that meaningful learning often happens outside of lesson plans โ€” in kitchens, backyards, quiet routines, and unstructured play. Through all of these roles, one truth remained steady: children thrive when they are met with patience, consistency, and respect for their natural development. This lived experience is the foundation of Wildflower Roots โ€” resources created not from theory alone, but from real days, real children, and real rhythms.
