Teaching style

My approach is child-centered, play-based, and grounded in real-life contexts, with a strong emphasis on nature-based and sensory-informed occupational therapy. I believe participation and regulation are strengthened through movement, relationships, and opportunities to engage with the natural world. Resources are designed to: ⭐️ Support participation rather than compliance ⭐️ Honor sensory processing and regulation needs ⭐️ Encourage exploration, movement, and curiosity, especially in outdoor environments ⭐️ Translate occupational therapy principles into natural outdoor settings ⭐️ Remain flexible for use indoors or outside ⭐️ Be efficient and easy to implement in clinical, educational, or home environments

Awards & shining teacher moments

Rather than focusing on awards, I value moments when children feel more capable, regulated, and connected --> to themselves, others, and their environment. Seeing therapists, educators, and parents gain confidence in supporting kids through play, movement, and outdoor experiences continues to guide the work behind these resources.

My own education history

• Doctorate-level training in Occupational Therapy • Advanced education and certifications in sensory processing, regulation, and child development • Specialized training in play-based and nature-based therapeutic approaches • Ongoing continuing education focused on relationship-centered and neurodiversity-affirming practices

Additional biographical information

I believe the most effective tools support both children and the adults guiding them. Many of the resources in this store are inspired by the benefits of outdoor play, nature-based experiences, and sensory-motor development, while remaining practical for everyday use. While these tools can be used in classrooms or at home, they are especially valuable for those looking to bring occupational therapy, play, and learning into outdoor environments. Whether you’re a therapist, educator, or parent, these resources are designed to meet you where you are, while helping you expand what’s possible in your work or daily routines.
