Letter sounds, blending, segmenting, VC, CVC, CVCC, and CVCe word reading, short sentences, and short passages are in the lessons and build off of each other. I chose the order the letters are introduced in based on how many CVC words I could create. I chose the irregular words based on looking at Fry's word list, the Dolch word list, the letters already taught in the lessons, and my thoughts on what irregular words would be useful.
