Choose one sentence from your class's shared reading to focus on each week. Students keep the paper at their desks and pull it out each day to work on that sentence. This is a great way to get students writing like the authors we read. Instead of fixing mistakes, they focus on mimicking great writing. I always try to choose a sentence that ties in with our grammar focus for the week. Print on colored paper so student won't loose throughout the week!
For graduating 8th graders. Purchase all of the candy on the list and attach this cute label to the bag for a perfect graduation gift!

Additional biographical information
I'm all about books and brandings! The two things I'm most passionate about are teaching and ranching! I want to instill a love for reading among all the students I encounter. I spend my afternoons in the summer reading books while my small children nap! My husband and I purchased 100 head of cows - and so the saying goes "Behind every successful rancher is a wife that works in town!" During fall break we ship off calves, spring break we brand, and summer break we ride! I love this life!
