Great for an Emergency sub plan! The documentary by National Geographic, (Genetic Mutations - Hidden Secret) is relative to the 8th grade genetics unit, its engaging and its on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk2yHeRoc9w Its also 48 minutes long which is perfect for a 55 minute class period. The questions are in order and they're time stamped so you know when the answers are coming up. Answer key included
A PowerPoint of all the Bell-ringers I used for our 8th grade Genetics Unit. Includes daily questions to use as bell-ringers. Can be used as a power-point or printed off to be given as a hand out. It also includes some slides with helpful video links. 60 slides altogether with the last slide as a short answer assessment for the unit. Can and should be edited as each bell-ringer is dated on the date that I used them throughout the unit (you can change the date as you use it). Good Luck T

Includes a pdf of Ch. 1 of Rachel Carson's controversial book Silent Spring, A set of thought-provoking questions, and hyperlinked videos to support the story of America's use of DDT and its impact on the environment. I use this lesson to enrich my 8th-grade Ecology unit.
