About the store
Hi! I'm Natalie Winter, a soon-to-be certified educator with a passion for creating a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment for all learners. I am currently completing my degree in Child Study at St. Joseph's University in Patchogue, NY, after earning my Associate's in Childhood Education from Suffolk County Community College. I have experience working with a variety of age groups, including an infant classroom in an NAEYC-accredited program, a third-grade general education classroom, a fifth-grade ICT classroom, and a fourth/fifth-grade self contained special education classroom. During my student teaching, I have designed, created, planned, and delivered engaging lessons, led Morning Meetings, and supported students both academically and socially. As both an educator and a mom, I understand the importance of creating meaningful, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that help children grow with confidence.

Teaching style

My teaching philosophy is centered around building a classroom community where every student feels safe, valued, and capable of success. I believe in: -Creating a supportive and inclusive environment -Encouraging curiosity and active engagement -Using differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners -Integrating academic vocabulary and hands-on learning -Promoting social-emotional learning alongside academics In my classroom, students are active participants in their learning. I use clear modeling, structured routines, and engaging activities—like games, choice boards, and collaborative discussions—to help students build understanding and confidence.
