Wizard of Oz-Exit Ticket Headers
Students will use headers to self assess where THEY feel they are after they answer a teacher posed question(s).
Post-it notes were used to put the answers on. They could be set on a table or placed on baskets for students to turn in a paper exit ticket in.

Notebooking Template (Flap Boxes)
Students will love making flap boxes for the interactive notebook. These can be used for any concept and review. Starting with the alphabet for kindergarten, multiplication and division for upper elementary all the way up to the periodic table for older kids. The ideas are endless!!

Teaching style
I am a true believer in multiple teaching styles in the classroom. I always start in a whole group lesson then differentiate through my small group, independent work and centers. I love to teach using visual aids, hands on, songs...well seriously I will stand on my head and juggle if it gets the job done! My last biggie is making it FUN and making it MEANINGFUL. If my students can make a connection they will remember and retain.

I am currently a 4th-grade teacher in Tulsa, OK. I graduated from Oklahoma State University (GO POKES!) with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I am also certified to teach Upper Elementary and Middle school. I have been teaching for 20 years and have taught everything from Pre-K through 4th, but my love remains in 3rd grade. I married my high school sweetie, and we have 3 TOTALLY AWESOME kiddos."R1," who just turned 14 yrs. and "R2" who is 11 yrs old and "R3" who is 7 years old. I am one blessed and lucky gal!
