I used these in my class for years. When a task was completed or a behaviour exhibited, I would hole punch a happy face out. When a threshold or all of the faces had been taken out I would reward the child with something they were working towards or a class surprise.

The sayings chosen tend to be of an unknown or non-obvious nature (which most are not familiar with). You can use this as a daily starter, mid-class breaker, closer, etc.
