My experience is mostly 3rd and 4th grade ELD. English Language Arts can be very difficult for students whose primary language is not English. It is very crucial to incorporate as much grammar and vocabulary into our teaching before students leave for middle school. I have created wordflashes for those students who like to be challenged at a fast pace.
This powerpoint is a timed program that flashes words every 5 seconds. The first word has an antonym. Students are challenged to say the antonym outloud before it flashes. Illustrations have been added to the slides to increase memorization of the antonyms.
This booklet is full of sentence frames to promote constructive conversations throughout all curricular areas. Clarifying, fortifying, suggesting, creating, persuading and more!
This powerpoint is a fun, competitive way for students to learn their contractions. The first slide contains the two words that make a contraction. Students need to say the contraction before it reveals itself in the next slide.

Teaching style
I use technology for my teaching. It is engaging and challenging for students. Often, students forget they are learning because they are so engaged in the wordflash lessons I have created for the different skills they need to learn.
