About the store
I have taught classes from K-12 (except grade 8) in my home of Canada since 2014. I am currently a gr. 4/5 teacher in Greater Vancouver. As a music teacher, my K-5 students explore rhythm, beat, and tone through a variety of instruments, singing and dance. My elementary students build towns and cities to help them understand how their home is part of a greater community connected socially, economically, and governmentally. I love to integrate performing arts into my practice to encourage perspective taking and connect seemingly unrelated ideas. My middle school students learn to research independently and present their findings through Big Idea projects. My high school students learn to develop a unique hypothesis independently, conduct research and report on findings and present in much the same way as a real scientist would. In all things, I love to find that authenticity - especially in the student.
