Experience

I have been a World History teacher for 30 years and have taught various aspects of World History as a core general studies class and also various topics that are now considered electives. I have taught Ancient and Classical Civilizations, European History, Modern World History, Civics, and also Current Events.

Teaching style

I know this platform provides many excellent activities to enhance classes, my aim is to fill in the void of content where content is needed to teach. I believe there needs to be a balance between activities and core content. Without content, activities are not as fulfilling. When I started teaching, every student had their own textbook. Now, we are in a era of only having a classroom set of textbooks, a digital book, or no textbook at all. These new world history textbooks provide minimal descriptions with little depth. Sometimes as history teachers we love to drill down on a subject and make history breathe again.
