Fire Truck Counting
When studying about firefighters and fire trucks, students use counters (either circle plastic counters or paper counters) to represent specific numbers. Teacher says numbers 1-10 and students place the counters in the boxes to represent the number. For a final assessment, teacher can choose the number that the students will represent by gluing the counters onto the paper. This assignment serves as both practice and assessment.

Teaching style
In my classroom I use more "hands on learning" methods. I feel that using projects and stations allows the students to be the learners and me to be a facilitator of learning.
My own education history
I completed my undergraduate degree from California State University of Channel Islands. I completed my teaching credential along with my masters degree from University of LaVerne.
