Everyone can benefit from a Vision Board. While I designed it for my 9th Grade AVID class, I recommend it for ASB, College and Career Education, Character and Life Skills. Use it to kick off the New Year, Genius Hour/Twenty Time, or to send your students off with an end of year treasure as they anticipate their

The Gift of the Magi, A Literay Classic...Adapted for Online Learning

“The Gift of the Magi,” by O. Henry, is a time-honored classic that is known for its irony when Della sells her most prized possession--her hair--to buy a fob for her husband’s watch; and Jim sells his pocket watch-- a family heirloom-- in order to buy Della a beautiful set of combs for her hair. Ultimately, it explores themes of love, giving, and happiness. Teaching style

I make high-quality resources that are standards-based and engaging to all learners. I value rigorous lessons with a collaborative model. All my lessons are created with the belief that not only do students need to read and write every day--they need to know that we, their teachers, believe in them. So, whether I'm creating material for my ELA, AVID, or leadership classes, my lessons are scaffolded to allow for differentiation, conversation, and collaboration.
