To introduce students to William Shakespeare's Macbeth, I ask them to put themselves in the perspective of the characters. This pre-reading activity is a great way of having students MEET THE CHARACTERS, engage with the conflict at the start of the play, and get in character. Students will be asked to read a description of a character and write an explanation of what actions they would take at the beginning of the play if they were that character.
