I similarly consciously choose which images to include with my presentations, digital flashcards, etc. I think that the more students see themselves through their classes, not just in the media, the more it motivates them subcon

Hello! As students are sometimes challenged to retain what they have read, I have to often teach (and reteach) how to take notes. Cornell Notes, invented by Cornell, do this very easily. My first page of the two-page PDF is an explanation of what each section does, and how I use it in World Language classes, but I suggest any class that employs reading should not only use this reading/notes strategy but uses it consistently. The second page is a template of the Cornell Notes. I recommend you g

Give your students a tour of Paris from your own classroom. This presentation features 36 of the most famous landmarks you can see in Paris, along with some facts from each. With the exception of the names of the landmarks, this 37-slide presentation and its facts are in English. When I used this in my French 1 class, I paused and told a few anecdotes of my travels at particular landmarks. Also, before we discussed any of them, we went to Google Earth to see where it was at in Paris--from a 3D p

The only Spanish in this book and presentation is in the single Spanish word on each slide, translated in the comments, and reviewed at great length in the packet. This would make a handy go-to for sub plans if you already taught the presentation. To understand how Mexico and present-day Mexicans came to be the way they are, you h
