Written by me, Audrey Yates Irias As a Spanish teacher, I wanted to make this year, fall 2021, special for my students. I created this movie packet to go along with Teacher’s Discovery’s film, “ Las posadas.” Each question goes in order with the movie. There are 54 questions for “ Las posadas” movie in the main part. Version A includes the 27 odd questions from the main part, and Version B includes the 27 even questions. The questions are all in English, and are either multiple-choice or true/fa

Want to catch your students' attention? Teach them French as spoken on the streets. Note: some slang words are acceptable in some company, but not in all. Regardless, an enjoyable presentation! Profitez-le! I recommend this for adolescents or adults learning languages, not necessarily children as it is slang, after all. Includes cultural dining/eating customs as well. NB: The expression on the title slide was created to mimic how they text.

36 Landmarks in Paris for French Class

Give your students a tour of Paris from your own classroom. This presentation features 36 of the most famous landmarks you can see in Paris, along with some facts from each. With the exception of the names of the landmarks, this 37-slide presentation and its facts are in English. When I used this in my French 1 class, I paused and told a few anecdotes of my travels at particular landmarks. Also, before we discussed any of them, we went to Google Earth to see where it was at in Paris--from a 3D p

American Youtuber Tiffanie Davis lives in Paris and walked around to see the decorations on 12/11/21, and I made a worksheet for my students. She is a cheerful person that is fashionable and encapsulates everything I feel about Paris. I made 24 questions, some multiple-choice, some matching, and some open-ended, that go with her video (linked in the thumbnail and in the pdf), along with an answer key. She speaks all in English to her audience, but greets fans and vendors in French. My questions

I created these listening activities to accompany the following video (found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivDSIb7NJ_8). There are three activities in the 5 pages, in addition to an answer key. First, you have a transcription of the video. Second, there is a Novice-Low version of the cloze listening activity, in which students will guess the 20 missing words, based on common cognates. In the Novice-Mid version, I chose 20 words that are more affiliated with the carnaval holiday. For both v

This 18-page manual gives great advice, meant for teachers who are new to virtual teaching or who want to find more efficient ways to work as a virtual teacher. As someone who taught for a virtual school, and now for coronavirus, there are methods that help your students "come back to class." This manual will show

This is a 17-slide PowerPoint presentation that would allow the teacher to focus on B.A.G.S. adjectives in French (adjectives that focus on Beauty, Age, Goodness, and Size). The PowerPoint begins with a quick review of what an adjective does and how to identify it, then introduces the B.A.G.S. adjectives. There is one slide for each category, including a list of adjectives that meet that category, in addition to practice translations. This would be a great supplement to a textbook introduction o

Teach how to form French Questions! Easy and fun way!

Created by

I break down how to form questions into 4 easy ways, complete with a recording for each example. After each rule, I do an example page, with recorded voice. I created my own tune to remember the interrogative pronouns. I end the power point with a small, interactive practice. If you purchase this, reach out to me and get the real power point version, complete with audio! I sing my interrogative pronoun in it! Very much worth it! TPT does not allow me to send ppt, or I would have here.
