I have a comprehensive knowledge of Earth Science, Astronomy, Anatomy & Physiology, Life Science, Environmental Science, Physical Science, and Spanish. I have extensive leadership experience as a department chairperson, collaboration with school classroom mentors, and as a school-wide representative for instructional staff. Experiment in a jiffy: sand vs soil (heating of the earth's surface)
This lab can be used in a variety of disciplines such as earth science, life science, and physical science.Oceans (water) have a high specific heat which allows them to heat up slowly and lose heat slowly. However, sand has a low specific heat which allows it to heat up quickly and lose heat slowly. Ocean temperature and land temperature interactions create sea breezes and land breezes. Oceans (water) retain their heat and influence weather and climate patterns. All on one page!!
