Experience

With 11 years of dedicated experience in education, I've had the privilege of working across diverse elementary settings, teaching Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade Physical Education. I hold both a California Teaching Credential in Physical Education and a Multiple Subject (Classroom) Credential, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of elementary curriculum and child development. I am particularly proud of my consistent commitment to educational leadership and my passion for fostering positive school culture, believing that a vibrant and supportive environment is key to student success.

My own education history

My educational journey began at the University of California, Davis, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. This foundational degree provided me with valuable insights into human behavior and societal structures, which I apply to understanding classroom dynamics and student engagement. Subsequently, I pursued my teaching credentials at Sonoma State University, completing my Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education in 2015. More recently, I further expanded my qualifications by earning a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Sonoma State University in 2025, solidifying my expertise across various elementary subjects and instructional strategies.

Additional biographical information

Outside of the classroom and gymnasium, I'm energized by staying active myself—whether it's through sports, enjoying the outdoors, or simply being active with loved ones. I cherish quality time with my family and also unwind by exploring the world of movies. Having grown up and now living in the greater Bay Area, I have a deep connection to my community. My passion as an educator truly lies in sharing the enjoyment of physical competence and activity, striving to instill a lifelong respect and positive view of movement within our community. This drive is fueled by a commitment to always be growing and improving my practice, ensuring that I bring my best to every student and every lesson.
