This is one of my students favorite activity. If you are looking to show the connection between plate boundaries, earthquakes, volcanoes and mountains this is the one that does it all.
2 -3 class periods
Two "word" documents that include 2 maps, 3 pages of "data", a blank student map and two bar graphs

This would work great for a "Sub" day or just a day when you need students to learn about minerals and the properties used to identify them.
