Experience

I have over 30 years of experience teaching mathematics, including Math 8/Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2, giving me a deep understanding of how students learn across multiple levels.

Teaching style

My teaching style is strongly student-centered, with a focus on actively engaging every learner in the classroom. I believe that all students can succeed in math when they are given the opportunity to participate, collaborate, and think critically. I work intentionally to create an environment where students feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and learning from both their successes and mistakes. Rather than simply delivering information, I design lessons that encourage interaction and meaningful engagement—through discussion, games, problem-solving, and hands-on activities. I strive to reach all learners by using a variety of strategies, ensuring that each student has a voice and a chance to contribute. Whether through guided practice, group work, or targeted questioning, my goal is to keep students actively involved and invested in their learning.

My own education history

Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of learners and taught multiple levels, including Math 8/Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. I understand the challenges students face because I’ve seen them firsthand—and I design my resources to make concepts clear, approachable, and engaging. My goal is to support both students and teachers with practical, classroom-tested materials that truly work. Every resource I create is rooted in real teaching experience, developed to help students not only learn math, but understand it.
