This is a unique three day project where students must do three activities based on Freedom Writer's Diary. There are three activities worth two points, three worth three points and three worth five points. The goal is for a student to complete ten points worth of activities to complete the Perfect 10. It is a lot of fun and takes up a good amount of class time to do.
These are 18 unique prompts that students can use to work on the RAFT format. Lots of different and fun options for students to work on. Recommended for struggling writers as it provides a guide of how to best write.
This is a short answer test for Macbeth. There are eight questions that deal with the entirety of the book. I have students answer at least six. If you have them take notes while reading, I allow the students to use their notes. Enjoy!

This is a great project for a research paper, or just to help students understand stocks. I have given a list of companies, along with with their symbol and price. Students will compare the prices and write a unique essay about which one they believe is the best. Took my students about a week. All enjoyed this project greatly.

This is one of my favorite activities. You turn your classroom into Lord of the Flies. This four-day activity has a strict set of guidelines and is a real fun activity for the students and teachers to take part in. There are a lot of unique things to be done with this.
Students will work on a unique week long project where they will create a sequel to Moby Dick that has a similarity to a work of today in film or television. This project gets the students excited about creative writing, and it also allows them to show off illustration and presentation skills.

I have a friendly and calm class style as I am a special needs English and History teacher. My philosophy is that if the students are in a welcoming environment, they will be quite successful in their endeavors.

I was named Teacher of the Year at my school two years ago. I have also served as a mentor teacher for two years along with receiving a supervisor certification.
My own education history
I graduated from Monmouth University with specializations in history and special needs in January of 2012. Since then, I have worked to achieve my English specialization, as well as a supervisor certification.
