Printable Alphabet Recognition Activity Books

This set of Printable Alphabet Activity Books is a great resource to help your students with alphabet letter recognition! Each of the 27 books (an extra book is included that covers “qu,” for those who like to introduce the letters together) contains six pages of engaging activities that can be completed independently (once students are introduced to the activities once or twice). The only materials needed for students to complete the books are coloring materials (crayons, colored pencils, or ma

Level 1 Red (Sight) Word Books

This set of 29 decodable books covers 30 common red (sight) words. I used the words from the phonics curriculum I use (Phonics First) and each book is fully decodable* for students who are being taught with the Phonics First curriculum (*there are a few exceptions, but the non-decodable words are fully supported with pictures). I created these books for my own students—many of whom are language-impaired—to help them with comprehension of their newly acquired sight words. In the table of contents

Emotional Regulation Cool as an Ice Pop Valentine Set Digital BOOM Cards

An emotional regulation toolkit for kiddos. This is the February/Valentine's Day version of a set of themed emotional regulation decks that I have created (and part of a bundle that any/all future similar decks will be added to). All are called “Cool as an Ice Pop” and all have the same tri-colored, happy ice-pop on the bottom left corner to make them easily identifiable by students to find when they need to either take a "cool down" or sensory break. With full audio-support, the deck starts wi

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching primary students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities since 2013.

Teaching style

I am passionate about helping students learn to cope with the extra stresses of school and learning. I believe in a Relationship-Driven Classroom Model, where the teacher and student are working together to solve problems. Ensuring that lessons and activities are fun and engaging is EXTREMELY important for my classroom, as I'm sure most can imagine. I'm still fairly new to selling things I create, but I know what does and doesn't work for kids!!

My own education history

I graduated from Comstock High School in Michigan in 1990. I didn't go back to college until 2010, when the youngest of my four children was in school and my husband had retired from the USAF. I graduated with my BS in Exceptional Student Education with Reading and ESOL Endorsements in 2013 from St. Petersburg College, and I graduated with my MS in Special Education with an Autism Endorsement in 2025 from Florida International University.

Additional biographical information

Happily married to my best friend since 1990. We traveled the world for 21 years while he was in the USAF, living on mainland Japan; Okinawa, Japan; New Mexico, The Azores, Portugal; and finally ending up in Tampa, Florida where we remain. We have four amazing children, and they have blessed us with NINE (soon to be TEN) perfect grandchildren.
