I let the kids use their hands and pick or use a koosh ball.
This is a great activity that includes guided notes, independent and dependent practice. This activity focuses on using the surface area formula found on the STAAR reference chart. Activity allows focus on finding P and B. This activity also includes comparing a prism with the net.
I personally used the first two pages as journal notes and the second two pages as independent and dependent practice.
FREE GOOGLE SLIDES TO GO WITH ACTIVITY AND FOLDABLE. Foldable focuses taking a student from operations and to words then continues to go from words to expressions. The color coded key activity adds a strong strategy for students to utilize when interpreting and writing expressions.
Students will create their own "less than, more than, and from" expressions and place in the "words that flip you out" pocket.
You can use this google slides. Open then copy, then download to ppt. This will g
This product comes with notes and independent practice. Covers the equation, proportional and nonproportional relationships. Writing equation from a situation, table, two points, and graph. They will also plot a line from an equation.
This product is easily differentiated and promotes higher level thinking.
Great product that has been used with reteaching, direct lesson, and advanced lesson.
This activity is wonderful and I have used in my room on several occasions. Focused and based on 7.13A TEK: calculate the sales tax for a given purchase and calculate income tax for earned wages

Foldable that addresses finding the tax and finding the new amount. The foldable is flexiable but comes with a key.
Class activity: This comes with four pockets and four situations per pocket. I suggest that students work in groups or rotate in stations. Problem that go into which
Student group will cut out both die.
Student can use notes assisting on terms, mean, median, and mode.
Student will roll one die with data and then the next die to determine what measure of central tendency to apply to the data.
First student with correct response wins.

ZIP FILE: This includes foldable, smartboard, dependent practice, and keys for both.
This is a wonderful activity and practice for students. Flows very naturally and offers support to the struggling learners as well and supporting those students that need to be challenged. I have been very successful with this in my classroom.

This includes a foldable, dependent problems and an exit ticket. The foldable can be done as direct instruction and as collaborative tables. I have used both methods successfully. The foldable offers opportunity to dissect each application question. I used this after completing the first day of percents proportion and solving for all aspects of the proportion and before percent of change. This focuses on 7.4D TEK. I had great success with scores when I used this before.
This can be used as guided notes, guided practice and has an attached homework sheet. This uses the formula from the STAAR reference material. It includes both total and lateral situations, basic problems and word problems.
This is a one page sheet with answer key. It allows the student to place categories in their set and subset. It has them compute six problems then have them place them in all appropriate categories and finally gives them three high level multiple choice questions that can be used to assess the level of their understanding.
This activity sheet allows students to calculate both independent and dependent probability, classify each, and then convert them to a percent. I used this in my journal in conjunction with the smartboard presentation.
This works well in conjunction with Poppin Popcorn Smartboard Activity.

The practice problems allow for differentiation of both your emerging learners and higher level thinking. This foldable and practice
This product includes a foldable and 10 practice problems addressing coupons, rebates and discounts.
This includes a key for both foldable and practice problems.
I worked two of the practice problems addressing the need to sometimes break it down to unit rate.
They can practice bubbling and completing fill in the blank with the gridable answer document.
This activity is lots of fun and provides both released staar questions and other related questions that focus on tek 8.2B. This tek is a low performance and heavily weighted tek.
This activity is played in a group of four. They spin to win or loose points then answer specific questions. The answers are provided. There is one bubble question.
Kids love to play this and review their knowledge of the tek in the process.
Have great fun.
Foldable - This is a two page foldable. The front of the foldable showed the parts of the formulas.
The inside of the foldable it takes one situation and compares it in terms of both simple and compound interest.
The third page is optional. The third page has two goals. 1. Goal to see that compound and simple interest is the same during the first year and changes after that. (discovery method. 2. Use the formula to determine missing time or rate given the other information.
