Zipa Tenn

King Hauwa is a book set in Northern Nigeria that tells about the rise of the female King, Hauwa. After the death of her beloved Father, and capture of her brothers, Hauwa ascends the throne to become the first female King of Dawaki-Topa. The author, Tenn Zipa J is a graduate of English and Literary studies from The University of Lagos.

Nkem is orphaned at a tender age and is forced to live with her step-parents who maltreat her. She forms a bond with her teacher and is disliked by her fellow students. She navigates through life and finally gets her reward for being an obedient and morally upright child.
