Why do we have Earth Day? Did you know rivers used to be on fire, before the EPA was formed? In this lesson, students play a version of jeopardy to learn about history of Earth Day, including how and why it was established. For the second activity, students see the activism of other young people who have supported their community through sustainability initiatives.
