Student Response Sheets in Black and White

I used these Task Cards as an informal assessment after teaching the Standard. I printed out 3 copies for each of my 3 tables. Students numbered their journals 1-10. Each table shared 10 Task Cards. They worked independently on each problem. One student might be working on #8 and another would be working on #10. They might look on each other’s paper, but they still had to show their work.
These Task Cards could also be used as a pre-assessment with buddies so students could talk about each problem and how they would work it out. I will use these again at the end of the year when I do a review of each Standard before state testing. I left one blank in case you would want to add a problem. This is quick and doesn’t take a lot of time, but you can see which students need help. There is an Answer Key for quick checks and a Student Response Sheet.
5th grade teachers might find this useful for the beginning of the year to see how much students retained from the previous year.
4th Grade Math Task Cards:
___________________________________________________
Common Core Aligned
Standard 4.OA.2: Multiply or divide to solve word problems involving multiplicative comparison, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem, distinguishing multiplicative comparison from additive comparison.
