Description
My first graders love using task cards as a math center; especially since QR codes are involved! QR codes instantly make activities more exciting and engaging for all learners. Students are able to check their answers giving them instant feedback on their work. This makes for a great center because I know students are practicing skill correctly because of the immediate feedback they get.
To access the QR code on each card you will need to download a free QR reader on your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or laptop (any of these devices, as long as it has a camera, will work!)
There are many free QR Code reader applications. Search for them at the app store and choose the one that best fits your classroom needs.
This set includes:
30 QR code task cards
2 printables to check for student understanding or to be used as an assessment
Recording sheet
Answer key
These task cards support the Common Core Standards:
K.CC.A.2: count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1.)
1.NBT.A.1: Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.

Students in 1st grade struggle with numbers past 100, especially 113-119. This resource was helpful in practicing those numbers.
It looked like there were two mystery hunts, each with a recording sheet; one for up to 100 and one for 120. I needed the 1-100 one for my Kinders. Now I cannot use this resource because they go above 100. Even the page called Count to 100 has #4 and #7 that go beyond 100.
This activity was a great addition to our center rotation.
