Description
My first graders love using task cards as a math center; especially since QR codes are involved! QR codes instantly make activities more exciting and engaging for all learners. Students are able to check their answers giving them instant feedback on their work. This makes for a great center because I know students are practicing skill correctly because of the immediate feedback they get.
To access the QR code on each card you will need to download a free QR reader on your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or laptop (any of these devices, as long as it has a camera, will work!)
There are many free QR Code reader applications. Simply, search for them at the app store and choose the one that best fits your classroom needs.
In these task cards, students will decompose numbers (or expand numbers) to help understand the true value of each digit. This set includes: 28 QR Code activity cards, student recording sheet, answer key to help make grading easier, and an activity that allows for teachers to better gauge student understanding of this number concept.
This center is aligned with the common core: K.NBT.A.1, 1.NBT.B.2
