This is a list of 174 different Character Traits. So often when I was teaching I wanted a list of traits so that my students could look at the list while describing characters. This also helps students get to know and understand different character traits. Mrs. R.

This is a unit for the novel Dolphin Adventure by Wayne Grover. This is a nonfiction book and excellent for grades 3-6. There are questions for each chapter. There is also a study guide that could be used in a literature center. I have also included a page on figurative language. Dolphin Adventure has many similes, metaphors, and hyperboles. It includes both literal and inferential questions for each of the chapters, 3 activities to do when finished reading, and a cover page. This is a 7 page unit to help review verbs. There is a cover if you'd like to make it into a booklet. There are two pages for students to find the verbs, a page for students to supply verbs to sentences to complete the story, a page for students to write sentences about a Halloween picture and circle the verb, and two pages to find verbs and write creative stories. This is a 35 page unit for The Secret School by Avi. It includes: a vocabulary worksheet for each chapter; answers for each vocabulary worksheet; questions, both literal and inferential, for each chapter; and a cover sheet so that it can be made into a booklet. This unit is written to use for 25 weeks, focusing on one trait per week, answering one or two questions per day. About 10-20 minutes per day. I wrote a vignette for each trait using experiences I had with students. There are questions for students to answer and activities for students to do independently or with a partner(group). This is a coloring book that shows a caricature of 22 of the U.S. presidents, gives basic information about each president, and has a coloring page for each of the caricatures.
