Are you using Engage NY math? Here are some great task cards for you. I have written the task cards for 3rd grade Module 3. There are 54 task cards. These are aligned to SBAC and use the Smarter Balanced Item Specs. There are 9 skills related to multiplication and/or division on the Smarter Balanced test and I have written cards to cover all 9 skills.

You will get great data and information about which of your kids need a little more help in learning about multiplication and/or division. An answer key is provided.

Not sure how to use task cards? There are several great articles on the internet. Search, “ways to use task cards”.

The file is a Word document and you are free to edit and make necessary changes to teach your precious children. You could also make multiple versions if you wish.

The questions look fine. However, I did have to change a few that said click on the answer. Also, I am disappointed that I have to try and create an answer sheet because one was not included. Also, the number letter system is confusing and there is no explanation in the teacher notes. I thought the letters correspond with the topics but that doesn't seem to be the case for all of the cards. I like to give the students the answer key so they can self check. The answer key is confusing for little people.

Howdy, I see you weren't completely satisfied with this product. I really want to make this the best I can. I am certain there are no errors. The letter system is simply a way to identify each card to be able to check it on the answer key provided on page 2. I wrote these cards to bridge from the Engage NY Curriculum to the Smarter Balanced type questions on the assessment. I wrote the items to specifically prepare students for the summative test and intentionally left click in the items. This product and almost all of my products are editable in Microsoft Word allowing all teachers to adapt the items to their specific students needs. You can email me at mboland@donobi.net. Determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation relating three whole numbers. For example, determine the unknown number that makes the equation true in each of the equations 8 × ? = 48, 5 = __ ÷ 3, 6 × 6 = ?.

Apply properties of operations as strategies to multiply and divide. Examples: If 6 × 4 = 24 is known, then 4 × 6 = 24 is also known. (Commutative property of multiplication.) 3 × 5 × 2 can be found by 3 × 5 = 15, then 15 × 2 = 30, or by 5 × 2 = 10, then 3 × 10 = 30. (Associative property of multiplication.)
