Comparing Fractions Task Cards, 4.NF.2 Centers:
These 24 task cards are aligned with Common Core Standard 4.NF.2: Comparing Fractions. Several types of questions help you assess your students' mastery of comparing fractions.
4.NF.2. Compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators, e.g., by creating common denominators or numerators, or by comparing to a benchmark fraction such as 1/2. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two fractions refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with symbols >, =, or <, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual fraction model.
Task cards are great for a whole-class game, math centers/stations, fast finishers, extra practice, homework, scavenger hunt, quiz-quiz-trade, morning work, small groups, or review for test.
Each card is numbered for your convenience, and there is a student recording sheet and an answer key included. The cards also include the CCSS in the lower left-hand corner. All task cards are included in color and in black and white for your printing needs.
