Many of the questions were too easy for even my lowest students. I felt that they needed to be more challenging and include more steps. Would be great for second or third graders, but not fourth grade.

I'm so pleased that your students need even more challenging word problems. You must have given them a lot of practice. This resource is primarily aimed at fourth graders who are just getting their heads around multi-step problems. This is the one area my own students really struggled with. My primary focus on creating this resource was on the process, using the four operations. That's also the focus of the Common Core standard. Once students feel confident with the process, and don't give up just reading the question, they are ready for more complicated work. I hope the resource is useful to your students in years to come, as they begin their understanding of this often challenging concept. Thanks, Jan
