Description

This AP English Language and Composition essay writing workshop unit offers rigorous exam prep and test prep for the rhetorical analysis, synthesis, and argumentative writing prompts required on the AP Lang exam. Students will engage with three in-depth lessons that break down each essay type, guiding them through the writing process step by step. To enhance their understanding, they will analyze authentic top-scoring essay anchor texts for each essay type, respond to detailed workshop questions that promote close reading and critical analysis, and use a customized grading rubric to evaluate essay effectiveness and structure.
