This Google Slides lesson demonstrates how to use the standard algorithm for addition. The lesson explains the process in terms of place value to build conceptual understanding. It includes:
- adding with base ten blocks
- adding without regrouping
- adding with regrouping with up to 5 digit numbers
- addresses common mistakes (like not lining numbers up correctly)
