Have you ever had a student say consonant digraph sounds in isolation but then had trouble connecting digraph sounds when reading words? Then Additive, Successive Blending, and Segmenting Worksheets are right for them!

Additive and Successive Blending is an instructional strategy with students starting with the first two sounds in a word, blending them, and then adding the next sound. It supports students that struggle with short-term and working memory because they are applying phoneme blending each step of the way.

This resource will enable students to connect speech sounds (phonemes) to letters (graphemes). All Additive and Successive Blending Consonant Digraph worksheets have real and nonsense words.
