Description
What student doesn't need more help with Work related Word problems? Every semester I get requests from my students for more practice with this topic. Usually it is just before the PSAT, SAT, or ACT as they are studying and come across "Josie can paint a house in 3 hours, Mario can paint the house in 4 hours....", you know the rest.
This activity can be used in two formats. Included is an 8 problem worksheet with room for students to show their work and 8 matching Task Cards with an unnumbered student response sheet so you can have flexibility with choosing the cards. Black and white versions of the task cards are also included. The problems include a variety of methods to solve these problems and there are two problems that only need common sense to solve.
Use with small groups, as a scavenger, or station cards.
Also included is the answer key plus five fully typed full solutions for you or as a study guide for the students.
This is a great activity for all Algebras including College Algebra and SAT Prep.
