Description

This set of 8th grade math (pre-algebra) binder notes provides guided notes for analyzing functions with a focus on intervals in which the graph is increasing, decreasing, or constant. Students will start by examining a linear function that is increasing and one that is decreasing. They will then build on that to explore functions that have intervals within the same graph that increase, decrease, and remain constant. On my answer key, you will see, I have suggested the use of highlighting to color code these intervals.
