My students enjoy task cards because they get to get up and wander around the classroom to find the next question. I find task cards to be a helpful way to pinpoint what they can do and where I need to focus my instruction next.

My students enjoy being able to get up and move around the room for an activity. I did have to adjust some of the cards because they have not learned solving equations yet but that was an easy fix.

Use informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. For example, arrange three copies of the same triangle so that the sum of the three angles appears to form a line, and give an argument in terms of transversals why this is so.
Prove theorems about lines and angles.
