Description

Introduce and consolidate 3rd grade arithmetic patterns in addition and multiplication tables in a fun and engaging way! Covers CCS, perfect for math centers, distance learning/e-learning, small group, targeted instruction but could also be used as whole-group instruction as well. No-prep! Assessment included. Google Classroom ready.

Concepts covered: 3.OA.D.9

Identify arithmetic patterns (including patterns in the addition table or multiplication table), and explain them using properties of operations.  

Students will:

  • explore a wide variety of different arithmetic patterns on the addition table
  • explore a wide variety of different arithmetic patterns on the multiplication table
  • identify and explain pattern rules
  • Identify if the sum or products are odd, even or both

These resources meet most 3rd-grade curriculum expectations but could also easily be used for revision or an introduction to division in other grades.

There are many activities in this resource. It is designed to be broken up into a number of different lessons. You could also pick and choose activities to best meet the needs of your students (differentiate).

Google Forms: Rounding to the Nearest 10 and 100: Show What You Know (10 questions)

This Google Slide deck has clear instructions and is designed as independent and interactive practice. Our products are simple to follow and fun!

Assessment:

We give 2 options - multiple choice questions at the end of the slide deck or a Google Form. Questions are the same for both.

The Google Forms are auto-graded and can be saved to a Google Sheet, for easy future reference.
