Description
This listing is for my Birthday Party PBL. Students will be given a 16 slide Google Slides™ Presentation in which they will pretend they planning a Birthday party for their best friend. They will chose a location, purchase decorations, food, create a floorpan, order party favors, create games and an invitation, hire a cleaning crew and calculate the total cost.
In this PBL students will practice the following skills:
Coordinate Grids
Order of Operations
Numerical Expression
Multiplication
Division
Estimating
Area & Perimeter
Measurement
Budgeting
I like to give this assignment to my students during math workshop. I think it's always fun to give this project to them during the week of my birthday, but it can be completed anytime of the school year! I typically given them an entire week to work on it.
Students will need access to a computer and both you and the student will need access to Google Drive™. You DO NOT need Google Classroom™ to assign this activity to students.
