Description
This set of 12 task cards provides students with practice calculating the 5-number summary (least value, lower quartile, median, upper quartile, and greatest value), constructing the box plot (appropriate number lines are given), and the calculating range and interquartile range. Note: The focus of this assignment is performing calculations and constructing the box plots. I did not include any questions on analyzing or comparing box plots, on this particular set.
Works great as a quiz or test review or just for extra practice after the skill is introduced.

- Student Recording Sheet
- Answer Key
Task Cards: Use the cards for activities such as "scoot", a walkabout activity, or display them under the document camera and have students write their answers on mini whiteboards.
