Once students understand how to complete a check register, it's important that they understand how to reconcile. This lesson teaches them how to reconcile in a simple way. A teacher guide is included to help you understand how to use the resources provided. You can use the slideshow to teach your class what bank statements and reconciling are, the three simple steps to reconcile, and how to actually complete the process. As you teach, your students can follow along with the provided note sheet.

Once the notes are complete, there is a two part practice to assign to your class. In part one, students will dig into why it's important to reconcile. Meanwhile, in part two your students can practice reconciling on their own for a two month period. An answer key is included. All materials are provided in Google Slides & Docs.
