Do your students know how to spell their color words? This two in one activity will allow your students to first sort letter cards by color and then assemble them in the correct order to spell the names of the colors. Colors included with this product are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, black, brown, white, and gray/grey (spelled both ways).
To prepare, download this file. Print on card stock and this one requires color printing. Cut apart the letters into cards. Laminate if you wish for durability and longevity. Mix up the cards and then your students are ready to play. Perfect for individuals, pairs, small groups, guided reading, as an accompaniment to any book about colors you read, with a parent volunteer or peer tutor.
