Description

This video lesson is perfect for sub plans, class activities, math centers, remedial help, or flipping your class.

This video lesson teaches students how to compare linear, exponential, and quadratic models. In particular, your students will be able to...

  • Identify the shape of the graph of linear, exponential, and quadratic functions
  • Distinguish between linear, exponential, and quadratic functions, given the equation
  • Recognize data sets as linear models by noting the common difference between values
  • Use the common difference (slope) of linear functions to write an equation that models the data
  • Recognize data sets as exponential functions by noting the common ratios between values
  • Use the ratio of exponential functions to write an equation that models the data
  • Recognize data sets as quadratic models if their second difference is constant
  • Given a table of values, write an equation to model the quadratic function

You receive not only the instructional video but accompanying notes for students to complete as they watch the lesson. Answer key is also included.

Upon purchase, you will receive the student notes as well as the ability to stream the video on TPT.

The video was perfect for a review on comparing Linear, Quadratic, and Exponential Functions. I liked that the worksheets matched the video. I did cut the worksheets up so they fit on one page for my students front back for less copies.
