Operations with decimals is the focus of these 30 digital, self-checking Decimal Operations Task Cards. Students can practice with the operations in Slides and then take the 10-question quiz in Forms!

  • This activity is great for decimal operations review, fast finisher activities, center activities, and test prep.

This easy-to-use resource includes a PDF with:

  • Link to Decimal Operations Task Cards in Slides (30 task cards)
  • Printable recording sheet
  • Task Cards Answer Key
  • Link to Decimal Operations Quick Quiz in Forms (10 questions)
  • Instructions

Task Cards require students to:

  • Subtract decimals from whole numbers and whole numbers from decimals (up to thousandths place)
  • Add decimals to whole numbers and whole numbers to decimals (up to thousandths place)
  • Add and subtract decimal numbers (to tenths, hundredths, & thousandths places)
  • Multiply decimals by decimals (to tenths, hundredths, & thousandths places)
  • Divide decimals by whole numbers and by decimals (to tenths, hundredths, & thousandths places)
  • Divide whole number by whole number, with decimal answer (1 problem)

Using the self-checking task cards:

Each card has 3 answer choices in colored boxes – these are clickable. Students just need to select their answer and they’ll move to a feedback slide, which will tell them if their answer was correct or incorrect.

Students should view in Presentation Mode

  • When students choose their answer in presentation mode, they’ll automatically be taken to a “Correct” or “Incorrect” slide, so they’ll receive immediate feedback.
  • Students can use the Back button to go back and review the question, and they can try again. The Next button on the Correct/Incorrect slides takes students to the next task card.
