Distance Learning: Current Events

Description

Let's all face it, history can certainly be boring. What is the catch to draw students in? How do we whet their appetite to receive the important material we need to teach them? CURRENT EVENTS is the answer! Make things relevant!

I use the CNN 10 program and show to the students once or twice a week and have them fill out the worksheet attached. Every test I have a current events question that requires them to dig deeper and ask the harder questions. This can be used with any history course because there are always connections that can be made!
