Description

This resource is designed to give your students options to build their writing skills with minimal instruction from you.

(This is part of a Choice Board Bundle for Secondary ELA - check it out to save!)

There are four options for you to choose from. The first two ask students to find inspiration for a short piece of writing from a photo prompt. Then, they will use the revision choice board to choose the best way to revise their drafts before they submit a good copy.  These are shorter tasks that focus mostly on showing, not telling, as well as the revision process.

The third choice board requires students to write a little more and to use other writers as inspiration. Most of the choices include links to videos or articles that the students can use as mentor texts. If you want to add another layer and have your students use a revision choice board for this, choose the final option.

If  you have any of these Room 213 products, they have also been updated to include digital options:

Online learning has taken over our lives and this resource relieved the pressure to differentiate learning with students online. As always, some did the minimum, while others tried to do everything on the choice board. They are wonderfully visual and peek curiosity. Excellent resource.
