- Introduction: The teacher presentation will help students build background knowledge as they learn what the endocrine system is, parts of the system, and how it works. Student fill-in notes allow them to reference them throughout the unit.
- Small group or independent work: Read the science text together to learn about the endocrine system. Students can fill out the graphic organizer independently. If they need help, they can consult the reading.
- Homework assignment

- Science center: Create a center during your human body unit to allow students to learn about the body systems quickly.
