Description

This resource provides students an opportunity to practice the pythagorean theorem by analyzing questions that have already been solved incorrectly. After finding the error, the students must explain in words what happened. Then they must solve the problem correctly. Feel free to click on the preview to see the types of errors that students must analyze.

This resource would be great to have students do with partners, as a warm-up, a review before a quiz, as a station activity, an exit ticket, or for homework.

This product contains ten incorrectly solved problems.

Looking back at what was done is a great way to help students figure out how to do multi-step problems! I used this resource to create my own template for students to do the P. T. problems in steps. Great resource!

I find these activities very valuable. When students make mistakes, many of them cannot self correct their own work, so having them analyze other's thinking is very valuable!
